Admiral is in Forced Marriage!

Aiden, the youngest admiral in naval history, faced a dire predicament. As punishment for his insubordination, he was thrust into an arranged marriage with Clyde, the Grand Duke of the North.

And his newly appointed husband was…

“Don’t tell me Your Grace actually intends to keep living in the North?” Aiden asked.

“Of course I do,” Clyde replied breezily. “It’s quite refreshing. A truly wonderful place to live.”

Aiden stared. The man was an absolute lunatic for calling the brutal North a wonderful place to live.

“We haven’t even been married for a few hours,” Clyde continued, his tone dripping with exaggerated sorrow. “Does our dear Admiral have any idea how a forsaken husband feels?”

Every word that left the Grand Duke’s mouth was pure, unadulterated nonsense. Right then and there, Aiden made a firm resolution. He would escape this wretched North and Clyde, no matter what it took!

Month XX, Day XX. Weather: Clear.

First thing in the morning, that crazy Grand Duke dropped to his knees and begged for forgiveness. He kept rambling on about how he would never lose his mind like that again. My lower back throbbed with excruciating pain, but that soft, coaxing eye-smile of his was just too cute. I decided to let him off the hook just this once.

I was absolutely determined to execute my grand escape from the North today, but my back hurts entirely too much. I suppose I’ll have to postpone it for next time.
